The book certainly looked appealing. It covers topics like sex, communication, kids, money, etc. It also offers practical five minute strategies for strengthening your marriage. I made it through the first chapter thinking it was pretty good. But then my husband decided to look a the book while I was at work and ended up reading the chapter on sex. He asked me later where I got the book and pointed out the section that suggested using "sporadic pornography" to maintain sexual vibrancy in certain situations. It doesn't matter how "sporadic" it is, we believe pornography is always wrong! I glanced through some other parts of the book and confirmed that the principles we desire to hold our marriage accountable by would not be discussed. I've chosen not to finish the book, because I cannot trust the content.
Hopefully I will have a better book experience next time! :)

Thomas Nelson publishers do not claim to own Booksneeze. I've checked around Booksneeze, and never read them mention Thomas Nelson beyond the fact they just offer their books there. As for the original intention of the site, that is unknown. Booksneeze provides that in the disclosure of materials we are to say they provided the book, not Thomas Nelson. Booksneeze offers publishers the ability to post books there to give people for review. In the email they sent about F&W publishers partnering with Booksneeze they also provided a warning saying that these books were not Christian in nature since the audience that has been drawn to Booksneeze so far is dominantly Christian. I just wanted to clarify since Thomas Nelson seems to be getting the backlash of Booksneeze's partnership. :)
Thanks for your comment! It was a good reminder to edit my disclosure, which contradicted what I made clear in my post: Thomas Nelson did NOT provide me with that book. I appreciate the fact that a warning email went out...although I do not recall receiving it! (I could have not been paying attention, so no blame intended).

What their current relationship with Booksneeze is, I do not know. They could be expanding to other publishers. I am definitely ok with that. And I still love using Booksneeze. This book just surprised me. :)
